Change a draft or scheduled message

Do this when you want to finish a draft, fix a scheduled message, or change when it goes out.

Who can do this: Your role needs Edit access to Message Manager. You can change only messages you wrote.

  1. Open Message Manager. On a computer, click Message Center in the menu, then Message Manager. On a phone, tap More, then Message Center, then Message Manager.
  2. Find the message. Only messages with the status Draft or Scheduled can be changed.
  3. In the row of the message, click the pencil icon.
  4. Change the recipients, the subject or the message.
  5. Save your changes. Do one of these:
    • Click the page icon (Save as a draft). A draft stays a draft. A scheduled message keeps its date and time.
    • To pick a new date or time, click the clock icon (Reschedule). Choose the date and time, then click Schedule Send. This also saves your changes.

A scheduled message shows the date and time it will go out at the top of the screen.

  1. Open the draft with the pencil icon.
  2. If you changed anything, click the page icon (Save as a draft) first. Then open the draft again with the pencil icon.
  3. Click Send.
  • If the pencil icon is gray, someone else wrote the message. You cannot change it.
  • A sent message has no pencil icon. You cannot change a message after it is sent.
