Rename a file or folder

Do this when a file or a folder has a name that is wrong or not clear.

Who can do this: You need Edit access to Files.

1. Open Files. On a computer, click Files in the menu. On a phone, tap More, then Files.
2. Find the file or the folder.
3. On the right of its row, click the three dots, then Rename.
4. In the Rename window, change the name in Name:.
5. Click Save.

You see a message with the old name and the new name.
