Make an event repeat

Make an event repeat when it happens on a regular schedule, such as a weekly Bible class.

Who can do this: Your role needs Edit access to Calendar.

  1. Open the event form. To add a new event, see Add an event to the calendar. To change an event, see Change an event.
  2. Click Repeat:.
  3. Click Daily, Weekly, Monthly or Yearly. For a different pattern, click Custom and do the steps below.
  4. Click Save.

To stop an event from repeating, choose None.

Use Custom for patterns like every 2 weeks, or the first and third Thursday of the month.

  1. In Repeat:, click Custom. The Custom Recurrence window opens.
  2. In Frequency:, choose Weekly or Monthly.
  3. After Every, type how many weeks or months come between events. Type 1 or more.
  4. For Weekly, click each day of the week that the event happens on.
  5. For Monthly, choose one option:
    • On day of month: the event repeats on the same day number, such as day 15.
    • On specific weekday(s): under Select position(s):, click First, Second, Third, Fourth or Last. You can click more than one. Then under Select day of week:, click the day.
  6. Click Confirm.
  • “Enter a whole number of 1 or more.”: Fix the number after Every.
  • “Select at least one day of the week.”: For Weekly, click a day.
