Hide or delete a section

Hiding a section takes it off your live site but keeps it in the builder, ready to show again. Deleting a section takes it off the page. You can restore a deleted section too.

  1. Open the page in the builder.
  2. Point to the section. A small bar appears at its top right.
  3. Click the eye button (Hide (keeps it recoverable)).
  4. Click Publish. The section leaves your live site. See Publish your site.

In the builder, a thin bar takes the section’s place. It says Hidden section, with the section’s name.

  1. Find the Hidden section bar on the page.
  2. Click Show.
  3. Click Publish.
  1. Point to the section. A small bar appears at its top right.
  2. Click × (Delete section).
  3. The builder asks “Delete this section?” Click Delete.
  4. Click Publish.
  1. Open the page the section was on.
  2. In the panel on the left, under Pages, click Deleted sections on this page. The number beside it is how many there are.
  3. Click Restore beside the section. It comes back exactly as it was.
  4. Click Publish.

Deleted sections on this page shows in the panel only on a page where you deleted a section. Right after you delete, Undo in the top bar works too. See Undo a change.

The builder has no way to duplicate a section. To get a second section like one you have, add the same section from the Add a section window, then type your words. See Add a section. To copy a whole page, see Duplicate a page.

To take a whole page off your site, see Show or hide a page.

The section buttons always show at the top right of each section. Tap » to open the pages panel and find Deleted sections on this page. Undo is under Tools in the top bar.

  • The section is still on your live site: Hiding and deleting change your live site only when you publish.
  • You cannot find Deleted sections on this page: Open the page the section was on first. Each page keeps its own list.
  • “Your site is being published. Wait for it to finish before changing anything.”: Wait a minute, then try again.
