Restore an earlier version of your site

Your site is saved on our servers a moment after each change. Site history lists the versions we keep. Restoring one brings your pages and words back to how they were then.

Who can do this: anyone who can edit the site.

  1. In the panel on the left, under Your account, click Site history. On a phone, tap » first to open the panel.
  2. Find the version you want. The newest is first. Each row shows when it was saved and who saved it.
  3. To see each save inside the editing going on now, click Show saves.
  4. Click Restore beside the version.
  5. Read the question. Click Restore again.

That version comes back as your newest one. Nothing is overwritten. The version you had before stays in the list, so you can change your mind.

When two people’s changes meet, the version that was not kept is saved as a copy. The copies are in the same window, under Kept copies. Each has its own Restore.

Restoring does not touch your sermon audio. Your recordings stay in your audio library.

To take back a change you just made, Undo is quicker. See Undo a change.
