Edit or delete a sermon, class or post

Sermons, Bible classes and blog posts each have a list. Open the list to change one, look at its page, or delete it.

  1. In the panel on the left, under Content, click Sermons, Bible Classes or Blog Posts.
  2. To find one fast, type part of its title, speaker or series in Search this list.
  3. Click Edit beside it. The Edit this sermon window opens. For a class or post, it says Edit this Bible class or Edit this blog post.
  4. Change what you need.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Click Publish to put the change on your live site. See Publish your site.

If you change the Slug of one that is already live, its old web address forwards to the new one after you publish.

Click Preview beside it in the list. Or, in the edit window, click Preview page. That saves your changes first. Click Exit preview at the top to go back to the list.

  1. In the list, click Delete beside it. You can also click Delete at the bottom of the edit window.
  2. Click Delete again to confirm.
  3. If it was on your live site, click Publish to take it off.

To bring it back right away, press Ctrl+Z (Cmd+Z on a Mac). On a phone, close the window, then tap Tools, then Undo.

Once you publish, the old web address of a deleted sermon goes to your Sermons page instead. A deleted class goes to Bible Classes, and a deleted post goes to Blog.

Your site starts with example content, so you can see how it looks. The top of each list says how many examples came with the template.

The examples never go on your live site. Publish leaves them out by itself and tells you how many it skipped. Delete them anyway, so your lists show only your own content.

  • “Someone else deleted this sermon”: Another person deleted it while you had it open. Click Put it back to keep your changes, or Leave it deleted.
  • Publish says a sermon still has the template’s description or sample recording: Open it, write your own description, and choose your own recording or a YouTube link.
