Edit testimonials

Your home page has a testimonials section with sample quotes. Your site cannot be published until you replace them with real words from real members, or hide the section.

1. In the panel on the left, under Pages, click Home.
2. Scroll to the quotes.
3. Point at the quotes and click Edit testimonials. On a phone or tablet, the button is always there. The Testimonials window opens.
4. Each row is one quote. In the first box, type what the person said. In the second box, type their name.
5. To add a quote, click + Add a testimonial. A new empty row appears at the bottom.
6. To change the order, click the ↑ and ↓ buttons on a row. To take a quote out, click the × on its row.
7. Click Save.

The builder says Testimonials updated. Click Publish to put them on your live site. See Publish your site.

Up to three quotes show side by side. Add more, and the row becomes a carousel that visitors move with arrows.

Caution

Use only words people really said, and ask them first. Never make up a quote.

Advance automatically

The carousel stays still unless a visitor moves it. To make it move on its own, switch on Advance automatically in the same window. This adds a Pause button for visitors, and it changes a sentence on your Accessibility page, which says nothing on the site moves by itself.

Add testimonials to another page

Add the Testimonials section to any page. See Add a section. Each testimonials section keeps its own quotes, so edit each one with its own Edit testimonials button. A new testimonials section starts with the sample quotes, so replace them before you publish.

If it does not work

• “Each quote needs both the words and a name.”: A row has a quote with no name, or a name with no quote. Fill in both, or clear both. A row with both boxes empty is dropped when you save.
• Publish says “The testimonials still show the template’s placeholder quotes”: Publish names the page. Open that page, click Edit testimonials, and replace every sample quote. Or hide the section. See Hide or delete a section.
