Start your site

Starting your site takes three short steps: Info, Template and Colors. Building your site is free. You do not need a card.

1. Open app.projectgobuilder.com. If you used the old address, pgo-builder.pages.dev, it sends you on to the new one.
2. On Tell us about your congregation, type your church’s name in Church name. This one is required.
3. If you want, type your Phone and your Email. Both are optional. Every form on your site sends its messages to this email.
4. Look at Your web address. It fills in from your church name. Under it, you see “is available” or “That one is taken.” You can type a different address. Use lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens.
5. Click Continue.
6. On Pick your template, choose your template. See Pick your template.
7. On Pick your colors, choose a palette. See Change your colors.
8. Click Start building.

The builder opens with your template. It asks you to sign in before you edit. See Sign in to your site.

Note

Nothing you type in these steps is public until you publish. You can change all of it later. You can change the web address until you buy the website license.

Already have a site with us, or were invited to one? On the first step, click Sign in instead.

If it does not work

• “We need the congregation’s name to build the site.”: Type your church’s name in Church name.
• “That one is taken.”: Another church has that address. Click the suggestion, or type a different address. If the site is already your church’s, click sign in to it.
• “That is not an email address.” or “That is not a phone number.”: Fix the box. Write the email like office@yourchurch.org and the phone like (334) 555-0142.
